Border Guard being backed up by over 2,400 soldiers - defence minister

Poland's defence minister wrote on Twitter on Friday that 2,400 soldiers are now supporting the Border Guard. The troops have been deployed to the Polish-Belarusian border to help secure the border from increased attempts by migrants to cross into Poland from Belarus. Since August, the Border Guard has thwarted over 10,000 illegal attempts to cross the Polish-Belarusian border, and 1,500 migrants have been detained and taken to refugee centers.
