Black Friday increasingly popular in Poland - paper

November 18th, 2019

Shopping on Black Friday, which will be held on November 29 this year, is becoming more and more popular in Poland. On this day, many Poles will be looking for special offers, especially on clothes, shoes and cosmetics, Monday's edition of the daily Rzeczpospolita reported. The paper says Poland will probably break the single-day retail trade turnover record, as the tradition of Black Friday, imported from the West, has been heartily accepted by Poles. According to the article, this year, 68 percent of Poles plan to shop on Black Friday, whereas last year this result stood at 59 percent. Thus, it can be seen that the popularity of this phenomenon is rising. The average consumer plans to spend 382 zlotys (EUR 89).
