Four Czech nationals who went fighting to the Middle East military zones between 2012 and 2017 have been reported dead, but if the last year's information about another death is confirmed, the total death toll will rise to five, according to BIS civilian counter-intelligence service report. The BIS did not receive any information in 2019 that someone else either departed to military zones from the Czech Republic, or that any combatants came back. Last year, the BIS confirmed a death of one foreign soldier from 2018. In its 2019 annual report, the service states that it received information concerning the death of another one.
