Bird flu virus detected at 2nd farm in Hungary
January 15th, 2020
National food safety authority Nebih said on Wednesday that it has detected the H5N8 bird flu virus at second farm in Hungary, at Letavertes, in eastern Hungary. The authority has ordered the entire stock of 115,000 ducks to be destroyed, and it has designated a 3km protection zone and an additional 10km surveillance zone around the site.
