Biochemist: Third wave of Covid-19 will be less severe

The third wave of Covid-19 won't be as severe as the second one, according to biochemist Pavol Cekan, who was awarded the Order of Ludovit Stur, Second Class by President Zuzana Caputova on Monday. Cekan said that the award did not belong only to him, but to all scientists with merits in containing the pandemic in Slovakia. According to him, the strength of the third wave will depend on the vaccination rate, contact tracing and testing, as well as treatment and observance of measures by the public.
