Belgian record-seeking pilot flying Slovak-made aircraft stops in Senica

Young Belgian pilot Zara Rutherford, 19, who is trying to get into the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest woman to fly around the world and has chosen a Slovak-made aircraft for this goal, landed in Senica (Trnava region) -- the hometown of the company that produced her aircraft -- at the weekend. "It was important for us that the aircraft was able to complete this journey in the harshest possible conditions," said Vladimir Pekar, managing director of Shark Areo. "The idea to build the aircraft was conceived 12 years ago, and this journey is confirmation that the aircraft has the quality to do it. We already have plans for the future."
