Belarus's airline banned in Czech Republic over Ryanair incident

The Czech Republic will halt the operation of the Belarusian airline Belavia as of Friday in reaction to the recent forced landing of a Ryanair aircraft in Minsk, the National Security Council decided on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlicek has told journalists. Havlicek said similar measures had been made by France, Lithuania, Sweden and Latvia in the EU as well as Britain and Ukraine. He said the halt of the approved flight schedule would continue until the investigation into the incident was closed.
