Students from the first and second elementary school grades might go back to school on November 18 if the coronavirus epidemic pursues its current development, Prime Minister Andrej Babis has told the public Czech Television. Nearly all schools in Czechia have been closed since October 14 and provide distance education. However, experts argue that distance learning is unsuitable on a long-term basis especially for the youngest pupils. Kindergartens and selected schools allocated to children of health care and social workers, police members, firefighters and other key professionals are still in service.
