Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis has said he has received information about potential shortages of the Covid-19 vaccines from AstraZeneca for the European Union in the second quarter and is trying to verify it. Reuters has reported that the pharmaceutical firm announced to EU officials it would deliver less than half of the promised vaccine doses against Covid-19 to the bloc in the second quarter. AstraZeneca did not deny the information, but on Tuesday evening, it said it was trying to reinforce its productive capacity to be able to deliver the promised 180 million vaccine doses.
