Babis: State of emergency not off the table in Czechia

Re-introducing the state of emergency in the Czech Republic cannot be ruled out, Prime Minister Andrej Babis told reporters on Friday. The country was in a state of emergency between March 12 and May 17 due to the coronavirus epidemic, he noted. Such a measure would be necessary if action beyond the normal powers of the health ministry become necessary, he said.
