Babis not surprised at Theresa May's end as Conservatives leader

May 24th, 2019

Czech PM Andrej Babis is not surprised by today's announcement by British PM Theresa May that she would leave the post of the Conservative Party leader on June 7, he told media after casting his ballot in the EU elections. Babis (ANO) said he hopes that an early election will take place in Britain along with a referendum after which Britain would remain in the European Union. Czech President Milos Zeman, on his part, told journalists on departure from the polling station in Prague that he feels regret for May.
