Babis need not apologise to Kalousek for his words - court

Prime Minister Andrej Babis need not apologise to former TOP 09 MP Miroslav Kalousek for his abusive words about the latter in a lower house debate, the Prague-West District court ruled today, but the verdict can still be appealed. "The defendant (Babis) made his statements in parliament which secures the maximum level of freedom of speech," district court judge Simona Kacerova said, adding that the statements were connected with the execution of the PM's powers.
