Babis: Epidemic worsening, but still better than a year ago

The coronavirus epidemic is worsening, but the situation is still much better than a year ago, Prime Minister Andrej Babis told journalists after receiving the third Covid vaccine on Thursday. The number of patients in hospital is rising, Babis said. At present, hospitals are treating 400 people with Covid-19, with the average age of 56. The elderly are the group most at risk, he said. Babis said about 341,000 more seniors should be inoculated and he asked general practitioners to help in this effort.
