Babis criticises not launching EU entry talks with Balkan states

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis is disappointed at the EU not having launched the accession talks with Albania and North Macedonia, he told reporters after the first day of the EU summit last night. Babis said North Macedonia and Albania had been promised that the EU would launch the accession talks with them in October and the European Commission, too, had said at the summit that these countries had fulfilled the required conditions.
