Average salaries in Slovakia up EUR 70 per month in 2019

January 14th, 2020

Gross salaries in Slovakia in 2019 rose even more significantly than in 2018, by almost 70 euros per month to reach 1,101 euros per month on average, an analysis carried out by Platy.sk has revealed. The annual growth in 2019 was the second highest in the past decade. Nevertheless, only one in two Slovaks were receiving gross salaries exceeding 1,000 euros per month last year, while 10 percent of people in the country earned less than 653 euros per month. When it comes to individual professions, the lowest salaries were paid to people working in cleaning and postal services -- 573 euros -- followed by the only slightly higher salaries received by kitchen assistants, hotel cleaners and health-care assistants.
