Average monthly salary in Slovak industry Up by 5.2 pc to EUR 1,127 in September

The average nominal monthly salary posted the highest annual September increase in the sale and repair of motor vehicles - by 8.5 percent to ?1,057, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. Other nominal salary increases were as follows: in restaurants and pubs - by 7.9 percent to 520 euros; in accommodation - by 7.8 percent to 801 euros; in wholesale - by 7.3 percent to 1,014 euros; in retail - by 6.3 percent to 764 euros; in selected market services - by 5.7 percent to 1,007 euros; in industry - by 5.2 percent to 1,127 euros; in transport and warehousing - by 5.2 percent to 1,005 euros; in construction - by 4.8 percent to 738 euros; and in information and communication services - by 3.6 percent to 1,875 euros.
