Average monthly salaries up in all sectors in August, most in accommodation

All sectors in Slovakia posted growth in average nominal monthly salaries year-on-year (y-o-y) in August, with the most noticeable growth of 10 percent (to 896) seen in accommodation, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Two-digit growth in average nominal monthly salaries was also reported in the following sectors: in wholesale - 14 percent (to reach 1,205), in the sale and repair of motor vehicles - 12.4 percent (1,178), on selected market services - 11.8 percent (1,151) and in pubs and restaurants - 11.6 percent (617).
