August's core inflation rate unchanged from July- central bank

Poland's core inflation, excluding the prices of food and energy, measured 2.2 percent year on year in August 2019, unchanged from July, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) announced on Monday. Core inflation, excluding fixed prices, amounted to 3.0 percent year on year, unchanged month on month. Core inflation, excluding the most volatile priced items, measured 2.3 percent year on year, unchanged from July. The 15-percent trimmed mean inflation measured 2.0 percent year on year in August, down from 2.2 percent a month earlier. According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), prices of consumer goods and services in August grew by 2.9 percent year on year and remained unchanged month on month
