Army, territorial units on raised alert after Russian attack on Ukraine

Poland's defence minister on Thursday announced a raised alert for selected army and territorial defence units in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Thursday morning. "The Polish army has been in a state of more advanced readiness for several weeks now in connection with the tense situation in Ukraine," reads a statement issued by the Defence Ministry.
