Army installs pontoon bridge in Warsaw to contain sewage spill

Military engineers have built a temporary pontoon bridge next to Warsaw's northernmost bridge, where an emergency pipeline will be installed after a major sewage pipe malfunctioned, sending hectolitres of sewage into the Vistula River. The military engineers will continue their work as they need to secure the 245 metre bridge and oversee the installation of the emergency pipeline, Col. Artur Gruszczyk, commander of the 2nd Military Engineering Regiment, has announced.
