Armenians in Bratislava commemorate 1915-17 genocide

April 19th, 2013

An event to commemorate the Armenian genocide of 1915-17 took place in Bratislava on Friday, with Archimandrite Barseg Pilavchyan from Prague celebrating the first Armenian liturgy at St. Catherine's Chapel. Apart from representatives of the Armenian community, the event was also attended by Slovak Supreme Court Chairman Stefan Harabin, governing Smer-SD MP Maros Kondrot, former prime minister Jan Carnogursky and representatives of the Russian, French and Greek embassies in Bratislava.
