Architectural competition for Central Station renovation to be issued soon

General manager of state-owned rail infrastructure operator Zeleznice Slovenskej republiky (ZSR) Juraj Tkac announced on Friday that ZSR in co-operation with Bratislava will issue an international urban-architectural competition for a comprehensive renovation of the "Hlavna stanica" (Central Train Station) in Bratislava by the end of 2019. Estimated costs for renovation of the infrastructure itself as well as rails and for lengthening the platforms amount to 147 million euros. ZSR declares that it wants the project to be funded primarily from EU funds.
