Anti-corruption organisations finalise anti-trust office reform

March 5th, 2020

Several anti-corruption organisations proposed the founding of a permanent body that would oversee public procurement processes as part of the planned reform of the Czech anti-trust office (UOHS), the organisations' representatives have said at a press conference. The anti-corruption organisations involved are the Reconstruction of the State (Rekonstrukce Statu) group, the Transparency International Czech Republic organisation and the Revival (Oziveni) civic association. According to their proposed reform plans, the powers of the UOHS should be defined by law in such a way that no single person could be in control of its investigations.
