Analysts: High prices and bottlenecks keeping Slovakia's trade balance in red

June 9th, 2022

Slovakia's trade balance continued to worsen in April, still mainly owing to growing prices and bottlenecks, said UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia analyst Lubomir Korsnak when commenting on the trade-balance figures for April released by the Statistics Office on Thursday. The office reported that Slovakia's trade balance in April posted a deficit amounting to 503.3 million, adding that the trade surplus in machinery and transport equipment was zeroed out by the trade deficit in mineral fuels.
