The March fall in industrial output by 7.3 percent year-on-year (y-o-y) can chiefly be ascribed to shortfalls in production of the energy and automotive industries, said analysts when commenting on the industrial output figures for March published by the Statistics Office earlier on Tuesday. Slovakia's industrial output decreased by 5.3 percent over March, with the y-o-y drop deepening from 0.2 percent to 7.3 percent. The approach to pre-pandemic levels of production thus reversed in March.
