The first wave of coronavirus infection has reached its peak in all European Union states except Poland and Sweden, according to the latest report by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). The report, which covers the period between December 31 and June 9, states that the European state, thanks to restrictions, managed to reduce the number of coronavirus infections by 80 percent in comparison with the peak of the pandemic.
