February 14th, 2022
On his Blue Planet podcast streamed on Monday, President Janos Ader discussed the economic benefits that resulted from the Planet Budapest 2021 sustainability expo. Ader talked in the podcast with Istvan Joo, a deputy state secretary for export development and government commissioner in charge of Planet Budapest who was also involved in organising the Budapest Water Summit in 2019. Joo said that thanks to the water summit, Hungary has become a key player in water diplomacy. Ader said that the water summit yielded some scientific, diplomatic and economic benefits and as a result, the Planet 2021 expanded its theme to include sustainability, energy efficiency and food safety.
