150 coronavirus cases, 800 people hospitalised in Poland - health minister

March 16th, 2020

Minister of Health Lukasz Szumowski said on Monday that at the moment there were 150 confirmed coronavirus cases in Poland, around 800 people have been hospitalised and some 8,000 put under quarantine. The minister told reporters that the number of new coronavirus infections "will surely be growing this week, at a similar speed as has happened in other European countries." "The decisions, these serious decisions, which have been taken recently, will bring results in seven to ten days," he added.
