The 67th Prague Spring international music festival that opens on May 12 will offer 46 concerts, two extraordinary concerts and six opera performances in cooperation with the National Theatre and State Opera Prague, festival director Roman Belor said on Thursday. The festival will traditionally open with Smetanas My Country rendered by the Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Vasili Petrenko, 35, chief conductor of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
