Support for ruling Fidesz eases, polls shows

May 23rd, 2012

More Hungarian voters are likely to stay at home than go out to polling stations but among those who do cast their ballots, the ruling Fidesz party maintains a definite advantage, according to a poll by Szonda Ipsos. Between only 35 and 40 percent of the voting pool were inclined to vote, but among these Fidesz would win 37 percent, a drop of two percentage points since April.
