Slovakia will back initiatives of the European Commission and the European Council designed to spur economic growth, Prime Minister Robert Fico said at a session of the newly-created Council for Development and Solidarity on Monday. "The government will support the idea that if there's a need to consolidate public finances, cut the public debt, then EU-member countries, and those in the eurozone in particular, should be required and obliged to adopt measures stimulating economic growth," said Fico at a meeting.
