Slovakia's Armed Forces are marking the 11th year of their engagement in the UNFICYP mission in Cyprus, TASR learnt on Wednesday. "Members of the Slovak Armed Forces have delivered a high-quality service over these 11 years, one that is appreciated both by the UN and other participating countries, including both sides of the conflict," said Chief-of-General-Staff Peter Vojtek. Some 159 Slovak troops are currently serving on the mission, which is tasked with preventing clashes between Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
