Slovak prosecutor calls for extended custody for former police chief

The prosecutor in charge has asked a court to keep in custody former police chief Milan L. and other figures arrested as part of an operation codenamed 'Judas' earlier this week, spokesperson for the Prosecutor-General's Office and Special Prosecutor's Office Jana Tokolyova said on Friday. Police spokesman Michal Slivka told the media on Thursday that a total of eight people arrested as part of the operation were charged with bribery, the setting-up of an organised criminal group and disclosing classified information.
