Slovak mining museum - Museum of the Year

On the eve of International Museums Day, Culture Minister Marek Madaric on Thursday awarded the '2011 Museum of the Year' prize to the Slovak Mining Museum in Banska Stiavnica (Banska Bystrica region). The Slovak Mining Museum won the prize in the category of specialised museums and galleries. Meanwhile, Bratislava City Museum won in the category of regional, city and local museums and galleries.
