Slovakia's presence in Afghanistan as part of NATO's ISAF mission might undergo changes as the Defence Ministry plans to replace a sapper unit in the country with another special unit, TASR learnt on Thursday. According to the defence ministry, if the sapper unit currently serving in the Afghan province of Uruzgan would be withdrawn, it would save enough resources to deploy an additional specialised unit instead. The plan, however, is not viewed with enthusiasm by the Australian command that is in charge of the Slovak sapper unit.
