The Indicator of Economic Sentiment (IES) continued to go up in May, rising by 1 point to 92.7 points, the Statistics Office announced on Tuesday. However, the indicator continues to lag behind the long-term average by 4.9 points, and fell by 2.8 points on an annual basis. The indicator of confidence in industry rose by 1.7 points month-on-month to 3.7 points, one point below the long-term average level. This was due to an expected rise in production in the next three months. Confidence in the construction industry rose by 0.5 points on a monthly basis to reach -36 points.
