Slota not to run for SNS chairman

Jan Slota, chairman of the currently non-parliamentary Slovak National Party (SNS), rejects rumours that he will seek re-election after all. "I surely won't run. I've already made up my mind. Although I want to continue helping the party in other ways," he said. Slota, who remains the most visible face of SNS, indicated before March's early general election that, at 57, his days were numbered as head of SNS but subsequently appeared to be back-sliding on the decision.
