Six arrested Afghans apply for asylum in Slovakia

Slovak border police arrested six Afghan citizens in the small hours of Tuesday morning in the village of Ruska close to the Slovak-Ukrainian border, police spokeswoman Agnesa Kopernicka said. The Afghans were caught crossing the border illegally thanks to the surveillance camera system. "The foreigners were brought to the police to be identified. The group consisted of a man, two women and three children aged nine, six and three, respectively," she said.
