Polish transformation an example for Myanmar, says FM

The Polish transformation process has set an example in Myanmar, Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said following his meeting with Myanmar's President Thein Sein on Wednesday. "Poland will support the process of easing, suspending and possibly abolishing sanctions on condition that the process of democratisation and releasing prisoners is continued," Sikorski said. The EU suspended for a year its sanctions against Myanmar in April, except for the weapons embargo.
