Polish FM opens democracy workshop in Myanmar

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski opened a democracy workshop for journalists, politicians and NGOs in Myanmar on Thursday. He also met Myanmar's opposition. "You are not alone in your struggle for change. You have many friends ready to help you. Poland and other EU countries are among them," he said, opening a "Democracy - Lessons Learned" debate. The minister expressed hope that Myanmar would be able to use Poland's experience. "(...) I hope that you are already on the road to democracy...But there is still much to be done," he stressed.
