Polish cab drivers protest deregulation laws

Cab drivers in Warsaw and other cities on Wednesday protested against the inclusion of their profession in new deregulation laws. The Warsaw protests began in the early morning hours and ended at midday outside Parliament, where demonstrators blew car horns, threw squibs and blew whistles. About a hundred drivers protested in Cracow by blocking traffic with a convoy of slow-driving cabs. Around 40 taxi drivers joined the protest in Wroclaw, demos also took place in Katowice and Gdansk.
