Poland unions urge President Komorowski for meeting on pension law

May 25th, 2012

Leader of the All-Poland's Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) Jan Guz on Friday asked President Bronislaw Komorowski for a meeting on a new pension bill. The pension bill raising the retirement age to 67 years was sent Thursday to the president who has 21 days to decide whether or not to sign it into a law. On the same day President Komorowski met Solidarity leader Piotr Duda (Solidarity is against the bill). The president said he was ready to meet other trade unions if a related request reaches his chancellery.
