Poland PM receives award in Berlin

PM Donald Tusk collected the Walther Rathenau award for his merits in deepening the European integration during Poland's EU presidency in Berlin on Thursday. He received the award of the Walther Rathenau Institute from German Chancellor Angela Merkel. On receiving the award, Tusk said that Europeans learned the lesson of their 20th century experience and the EU was their response to the "two genocidal wars, authoritarian temptations, totalitarian usurpations, Great Depression and national egoisms".
