People are sending more and more complaints to ombudsman's offices in the Visegrad Four (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, V4) countries, the ombudsmen said at their meeting on Tuesday. People complain about the harsh impact of social reform, problems with welfare benefits and poor access to health care. The ombudsmen said that as their powers were limited, they could not always help. This year, Czech ombudsman Pavel Varvarovsky received 500 more complaints than a year ago, a rise caused by complaints related to economic situation, mainly the provision of welfare benefits.
