NATO to set up helicopter training centre in Czech Rep next year

An international team will start preparing the establishment of a joint NATO training helicopter centre in the Czech Republic next year, the Defence Ministry's press department said on Tuesday. The centre is to use the base in Pardubice in east Bohemia. Croatia, Slovakia and the USA have voiced interest in the cooperation in the international training centre for helicopter crews, while Hungary, Latvia and Lithuania may follow suit, the ministry said.
