The cheapest and most expensive bids in public procurements should be disregarded, Premier Robert Fico said at a meeting of the Slovak Towns and Villages Association (ZMOS) on Thursday. "Everyone thinks that the lowest bid is the best solution for the country, but that's not true. We're aware of how certain construction companies abuse these low prices," said Fico. ZMOS head Jozef Dvonco concurred with the premier, saying that towns are often pushed into leaning towards those bids.
