Kazimir: Slovak government already responding to Commission recommendations

May 30th, 2012

The Government is set to respond to the recommendations drawn up by the European Commission via specific law drafts that are already in the making, Finance Minister Peter Kazimir said on Wednesday. "This mainly concerns measures whereby the deficit will be maintained at the planned level and commitments that arise for us from the excessive deficit procedure will be upheld," said Kazimir. The budget gap is projected to shrink from 4.8 percent of GDP last year to 4.6 percent this year before being squeezed under 3 percent in 2013.
