It's an illusion to believe that scrapping the 19-percent flat-tax will bring more money into the state budget, SDKU-DS caucus leader Ludovit Kanik said in reaction to the Government's plans in this sphere. "Quite the contrary, incomes will drop after progressive taxes are introduced. We had progressive taxes before, but it was the introduction of the flat-tax that ... supported economic activity and growth, and attracted new investments to Slovakia," said Kanik.
