Independent candidates favourites of Czech presidential election - poll

Independent candidates Jan Fischer and Jan Svejnar have the biggest chances of advancing to the second round of the Czech direct presidential election with 24.1 percent and 15.8 percent, respectively, according to a poll conducted by Factum Invenio in late May and released on Thursday. The third place went to former prime minister Milos Zeman with 13.3 percent. President Vaclav Klaus's term ends next March. The first direct election is to be held between January 6 and February 5, 2013.
