Icelandic, Czech presidents discuss 2008 banking crisis

Iceland's currency was part of the problem that led to the banking crisis of 2008, but it eventually also helped to resolve it, Icelandic President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson said after meeting his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus in Prague on Thursday. Grimsson said Iceland's EU accession talks would not be easy due to the issues of fishing and the treatment of natural resources. Grimsson and Klaus discussed the Icelandic financial crisis and the ways in which Iceland has restarted its economy.
